Notes with high velocity give a more intense, emotive feel than the Cinema Blue, so your preference may come down to the style of piano performance you want to emulate. I would say the Blüthner is definitely more expressive. A key benefit of version 5, you see, is improved sound. Initially, nothing much seems to have changed - the interface is broadly similar to that of Pianoteq 4, but start playing and the under-the-hood developments become apparent. This piano is noticeably more mellow and understated than the Blüthner, with a rich, warm, tantalizing tone. Although it's now at version 5, then, some would say that Pianoteq still has something to prove. My favourite sound bank included in Cinema Grand would be the “Cinema Blue” Steinway piano. I couldn’t find any information on the mics or the setup used to record these samples, but the sound quality is beautiful and gives a very spacious, authentic feel. Pianoteq is a software synthesizer that features real-time MIDI-control of digital physically modeled pianos and related instruments, including electric piano, harp, harpsichord, fortepiano, and various metallophones.
REVIEW PIANOTEQ 5 FULL
Kelsey Brown on NEW Torrent Pianoteq 4 5 Full Full. Hollin Jones is impressed in this Modartt Pianoteq Pro 4.5 review. Before we get into all the features offered in Pianoteq, I want to take a second to highlight the 4 different versions of the software. A great piano is the holy grail of virtual instruments, and Pianoteq seems to do it without using samples. The attention to detail in the velocity programming is extremely impressive, resulting in a very realistic playing experience. Today, we are going to test Pianoteq 6 and see if it can stand out in a very saturated market of virtual piano plugins. When playing each of these pianos, it’s very apparent that a huge amount of care and dedication has gone into the sampling process.
